Barrow and Holt part company

Darren Holt has been asked to stand down with immediate effect by the the Barrow board of directors.

According to the club’s official website, both parties reached an amicable agreement, and Holt’s remaining contract will be honoured by the club.

The 36-year-old, who has been battling with cancer for three months, has requested that a substantial part of his remaining contract is paid into the club’s Floodlight appeal.

The Raiders board would like to thank Darren for his years of dedication, both as a player and coach, and wish him all the best in the future.
