Josh Barlow is the latest player to sign a two-year deal with Swinton Lions.

The forward made his Swinton debut back in 2013 and he is now the longest serving player at the Championship club.

He played a big role in Stuart Littler’s Lions side in 2017, making 25 appearances and scoring one try.

In total, Barlow has now played 109 games for the club, scoring 14 tries.

And he is made up to have signed a contract that will see him stay at Heywood Road until the end of the 2019 season.

Barlow said: “I absolutely love this club and the fans are brilliant to me, so signing on again was a no-brainer.

“Stuart (Littler) is someone I respect and enjoy working with, and we have a great set of lads. I’m really looking forward to next season.”

Former Ireland international now Swinton coach Littler is delighted to have Barlow in his squad again for 2018.

He said: “I think it’s outstanding news for the club that Josh has agreed a new deal.

“He has developed into a leader within our pack plus he is a tough competitor with a winning attitude. Josh has bought into our new vision and that’s great news for the club.”
