BARLA have announced that Channel M, the Manchester television station, will be showing highlights of National Conference and North West Counties League games on Code XIII.

The amateur games will be shown until the current series comes to a close and mid-October and coverage will resume in February next year.

BARLA Chair Spen Allison said that this was a fantastic opportunity to bring BARLA games to a wider audience and enhance to organisation's image.

Allison said: "This is exciting times for the amateur game and I am very pleased with the support and commitment from Channel M TV in Manchester to show match highlights from our games to a wider audience.

"It makes it all worthwhile when people and companies respond this and look forward to this blossoming partnership. BARLA continues to spread the word of rugby league worldwide and this will enhance our image."

Tomorrow's Code XIII programme will be showing highlights of last week's Leigh Miners Rangers versus Oldham St Annes clash as well as yesterday's game between St Annes and Wigan St Patricks.

Future programmes will cover Leigh Miners Rangers playing West Hull and St Annes against Skirlaugh.

Channel M is available on Sky Digital Channel 203 (across UK and Worldwide), in the North West on NTL digital cable Channel 26, Manchester City centre – free to air Channel 39 and Broadband hi resolution on www.channelm.co.uk.
