Barba could make code switch

Former Cronulla fullback Ben Barba has been linked with a code switch to rugby union in Japan.

According to The Sydney Morning Herald, Barba has been targeted by Japanese rugby union clubs.

Barba left the Sharks after a positive drugs test for cocaine. He has just finished a stint in rehab in Thailand.

The 27-year old is facing a 12-game ban if he returns to the NRL next season.
