Ballard joins Whitehaven on loan

Whitehaven have signed Celtic Crusaders winger Paul Ballard on a month long loan.

Ballard, 24, has previously played for Widnes and Leigh, and has scored 40 tries in 51 appearances for the South Wales club.

Whitehaven have also announced that three Frenchmen have arrived at the club for a month’s trial. One is believed to be Carcassonne scrum half Amar Sabri, with the other two rumoured to be front-rowers, also from Carcassonne.
