Leeds Rhinos prop Ryan Bailey and Catalan Dragons player David Ferriol will miss their team’s respective Engage Super League Play-offs against Huddersfield Giants and Wigan Warriors after both players appeared before the RFL Disciplinary Committee yesterday.

Leeds prop Bailey was suspended for one match after he was found guilty of committing a Grade A offence for raising his knee during a tackle on Hull FC‘s Danny Tickle in Sunday’s 42-10 win at the Headingley Carnegie Stadium.

Ferriol was also banned for one match after he was found guilty of a Grade A offence for leading with the knee during Catalan’s 56-6 win over Hull KR on Saturday.

Both players were also fined £300 by the Disciplinary Committee.

Hull KR‘s Scott Murrell avoided suspension after he appeared before the panel charged with committing a Grade A high tackle on Remi Casty during the defeat to Catalan. Murrell’s excellent disciplinary record was taken into account, however he was fined £500.
