Wests Tigers flyer Blake Ayshford has committed the next three seasons to the club, after signing a new deal.

Ayshford’s contract was due to end of next season, but the new agreement will see him remain with the joint-venture club until 2015.

The 23-year-old centre is a product of the Tigers’ youth system and is delighted to remain with the club.

“I’m really pleased to have my future secure for the next few years as this Club is like a family to me so I never wanted to go anywhere else,” Ayshford said.

“We have a strong and pretty stable squad of players which looks likely to be the case for some time to come.

“It’s also great news that Tim (Sheens) has re-signed too as he’s been the only elite coach I’ve worked with.”

Chief Executive Stephen Humphreys emphasised the importance of keeping Ayshford at the Club.

“Blake forms a key part of our squad moving forward so it is great to see that he has committed to Wests Tigers until the end of 2015,’’ Humphreys said.

“He has been with the Club since he was an 18-year-old so its extremely satisfying to see his development through our system and become the regular first grader that he is today.
