Greg Bird will lead the Australian Prime Minister’s XIII in their annual match against Papua New Guinea in Kokopo on Sunday 12 October.

The Australians usually emerge victorious in the fixture, but could be tested this year as PNG look to reap the benefits of having a team in the Queensland Cup.

Greg Bird will captain the Australian PM13 team to take on the PNG PM13 side

The Australian’s have dominated the annual fixture but could be in for a tough test as the PNG side reaps the benefits of having the PNG Hunters play in the Queensland Cup this year. This means that the Kumuls will be much more fitter across the park and with the home advantage could give the Australian’s a hard time on the pitch.
