Applegarth injury blow for Batley

Batley Bulldogs forward Mark Applegarth is set to be out of action for a number of week after he broke his arm in the 18-18 draw with Halifax.

Coach John Kear said it was a blow: “It’ll be potted up for four to six weeks and then he’ll have hid rehab to do.

“It’s a blow. Since I’ve been here Mark has played every game, he’s been the only ever-present. But that’s nothing you can do, it’s just the nature of the game.”
