Anthony Bowman joins Batley

Drew Darbyshire

Batley have signed former Halifax and Oldham utility Anthony Bowman for 2020.

The 27-year-old helped Oldham achieve promotion to the Championship last season, scoring five tries in nine appearances.

Bowman has enjoyed spells at Keighley, Swinton and Halifax during his career, and has even had a stint playing in Australia.

He can play half-back, centre, back-row or loose forward, so he will add plenty of versatility to Craig Lingard’s Bulldogs in the Championship this term.
