Ankle injury blow for Walker

Bradford centre Chev Walker will be out for more than two months after suffering a broken bone in his ankle.

Walker, 28, was carried off in the early stages of the Challenge Cup win over Halifax at the weekend and a scan has revealed the former Leeds and Hull KR man will need an operation.

He will have an operation on Friday and is expected to be out of action for between eight and ten weeks.

Bulls Football Manager Stuart Duffy said: “Everyone is really disappointed for Chev.  He has been playing well and this latest setback is disappointing for both him and the Club.

“We all wish him a speedy recovery and he will get all the attention he needs to help him get back playing  as soon as possible.”

Walker, then at Hull KR, missed much of last season with a compounded broken leg which he suffered against Leeds in September 2009.
