Andrew Johns joins Parramatta Eels coaching staff

Parramatta Eels have appointed immortal Andrew Johns as a halves and spine coach ahead of the 2020 season.

Johns will work closely with the club’s young spine, including Dylan Brown, Mitchell Moses, Clint Gutherson and Reed Mahoney.

The Australia and New South Wales legend started work with the Eels this week and will work weekly with the spine throughout the 2020 NRL campaign.

Johns scored 80 tries and kicked 917 goals in 249 appearances for Newcastle Knights during his playing career, while enjoying a three-match stint at Warrington in Super League.

The 45-year-old earned 24 caps for Australia on the international stage and played 23 times for New South Wales in Origin.
