Anderson wants positive attitude

Huddersfield coach Paul Anderson is expecting a tough, physical encounter against Hull KR on Thursday night.

The Robins found some form last week with a convincing win at Bradford Bulls. Anderson knows that the KR forward pack will pose a threat to his team.

“They’ll be physical,” said Anderson.

“Any Hull team away is always a challenge and Hull KR have got the better of us of late, especially over there, so we know we have to be good and have a clear intention of what we want to achieve and hopefully that will be the case.

“You can either win ugly or win pretty but the key word is winning and that’s what we’re doing at the moment. We’re finding a way to grind it out but we need to perform better to beat the sides at the top of this division.

“Our attitude for Hull KR away has to be spot on and I’m confident it will be.”

The last time the two teams met, the Robins came away with a dramatic draw from the John Smith’s Stadium.

Anderson wants his men to remember that game, and use it as fuel.

“We’ll use it as motivation, they stole a point off us last time (at the death), we were clear and coasting at half time and we let that slip, which has been a bit of a trend this year,” Anderson added.

“We have to make sure that if we get in the same position again we keep working hard and become more ruthless.

“It’s about us though; we need a win to stay in contention and to keep rolling on.”
