Anderson wants Giants to show Super League table lies

Huddersfield Giants head coach Paul Anderson wants his team to show the rest of Super League that the table does lie with a win over Warrington Wolves.

Last season’s play-off semi finalists have had a slow start to the new campaign and are currently sat bottom of the Super League table with just one win from their opening 10 games.

Despite this, Anderson believes he has a good squad at his disposal and he wants his side to start showing what they can offer this weekend against the league’s table toppers, Warrington.

“The table may suggest otherwise at the moment, but we do have a very, very good squad,” Anderson told the Huddersfield Examiner.

“It’s not the biggest, I accept that. But if you look through the ranks we’ve got, we do boast a lot of quality players who are potential match-winners for us.

“Individually and collectively, I do genuinely believe we don’t deserve to be in the position we find ourselves in right now.

“As a result, I do expect us to beat Warrington tomorrow night, because I still believe we’re good enough. It’s up to the players to believe that as well and show everyone we don’t deserve to be where we are in the table.”
