Anderson sad to lose Fa’alogo and Lee

Huddersfield coach Paul Anderson says he is sad to see hooker Tommy Lee and back-rower David Fa’alogo leave the club.

Lee, 24, turned down a new contract at the John Smith’s Stadium, and has since penned a two-year deal with London Broncos.

Former New Zealand international Fa’alogo, 32, has also joined Scott Moore, Ross Peltier and Adam Walker in being released by the Giants.

Anderson told the club’s official website: “It’s sad to see David Fa’alogo go after three years at the Club. He has been unfortunate with injuries whilst over here. If you look at his career over in the NRL I don’t think he missed a week due to injury. When he put a few games together you could see the ability he actually has.

“I am also sad to see Tommy Lee leave as I am confident he would have complimented what we are trying to achieve here.”

Fa’alogo has been restricted to just 56 appearances in his three seasons with the club, scoring 15 tries.

Former Hull and Crusaders half-back or hooker Lee, who joined from Wakefield at the start of 2012, scored two tries in 18 appearances for the Giants.
