Anderson not panicking

Huddersfield coach Paul Anderson says his team is not panicking despite slumping to its fourth defeat in a row tonight.

The Giants went down to Leeds 20-16. Huddersfield have yet to win a game this season.

“I dont think we got what we deserved out of the game,” Anderson told Sky.

“Our effort and committment were outstanding. I think Leeds having two halves out there probably got them home in the end.”

Huddersfield lost forward Daniel Smith to a suspected broken foot in the first half, but Anderson declined to use that as an excuse.

“It has an affect but it’s not the reason we lost the game,” he said.

“It is what it is. There’s no panic amongst us. We’re very, very confident about what we’re about.

“Hopefully in the next week or two we’re going to get some troops back.”
