Anderson insists Huddersfield can have no excuses

Huddersfield coach Paul Anderson has no doubts about the kind of attitude his players must show this season.

The Giants kick off their campaign this Sunday at home to Hull FC, and Anderson wants to see more consistency from his team in 2015.

“There’s a real sense of excitement heading into Sunday,” Anderson told his club’s official website.

“I think last year we never actually put an eight or a nine out of ten performance together and that has got to be the challenge this year.

“We have to get back to some consistency and get back to getting some seven performances out there and the boys’ talent will take care of itself.

“It’s much better to have been able to have a full pre-season with the players. We’ve had three blokes in rehab and one on international duty so we’ve had 25/26 players constantly training in comparison to last season.

“We’ve got no excuses this year and we’ve got to make sure we hit the ground running because every round and point is important. We’ll be ready come Sunday.”
