Ambler joins Halifax

Leeds Rhinos prop Luke Ambler has signed a dual-registration contract with Championship side Halifax for the remainder of the 2012 season.

Ambler, 22, who had a spell on loan at Halifax earlier this season, will play for his hometown club but will be able to be recalled by the Rhinos at any point during the season.

The Irish international gained valuable experience last season, playing 24 times in the Super League while on loan at Harlequins, which included a victory over parent club Leeds.
