Gloucestershire All Golds have added to their squad, confirming the signing of former Sheffield Eagles and Hull FC hooker, Craig Cook.

The 30-year old Hull-born player has also played for Doncaster and Dewsbury Rams, during his career, as well as enjoying a spell in France with Toulouse.

Cook was in Hull’s full-time squad for two years, and was skipper to their academy and reserve teams. He once gained selection for the Championship Dream Team in 2010, having scored 20 tries for Sheffield during that season.

“I am really looking forward to playing for the All Golds and playing under Brad Hepi,” said Cook.

“I am really keen on helping the team progress and build on last season, to spread the word and help the game grow in the South West.”

Lionel Hurst, President of the All Golds, was also pleased that Cook had joined his club.

“We are delighted that Craig has decided to come on board and join what we are working hard to achieve at the All Golds,” he said.

“Craig has played at the top level and passing on the experience he has gained throughout his illustrious career will be invaluable to us, particularly to younger members of the squad.”
