Sheffield Eagles Alex Rowe has returned to Doncaster on an initial one month loan.

The former Don left in August 2007 in the search for first team action but he has struggled to find it at the Eagles since breaking his arm last season.

It is more than likely that Rowe will be in contention for a starting place against Gateshead Thunder this Sunday.

Tony Miller, Doncaster’s Head Coach is delighted with the acquisition to his team. He said, “Alex is a great signing for us and he’ll add a lot of power to our front line. He’s trained with us a couple of times this week and he looks the part.

“He’s a player who often breaks the line and this is something that we’ve maybe lacked a bit this season. We’ve got some tough games coming up and I’m sure Alex will prove to be a tremendous acquisition for the Dons and I hope he stays with us until the end of the season.”

The prop forward also plyed his trade for Castleford.
