Aiton to make Leeds bow against former club

Leeds new boy Paul Aiton is set to make his first appearance in a Rhinos shirt against former club Wakefield on Boxing Day.

The Papua New Guinea international hooker, who made the switch to Headingley for an undisclosed fee back in November, will start at nine in the traditional Festive fixture, which kicks off at 11.30am.

Rhinos coach Brian McDermott has named his starting 13, which includes several first team players.

Ben Jones-Bishop will start at full-back, with Joel Moon at centre, and Liam Sutcliffe and Zak Hardaker at half-back.

In the pack, Ian Kirke and Ryan Bailey are starting props, with Chris Clarkson, Brett Delaney and Mitch Achurch in the back-row.

Youngsters Thomas Minns and James Duckworth start at centre and wing respectively, while on the other wing is Ash Handley, who is the only player in the starting 13 not to have made a Super League appearance.

Handley scored 16 tries in 19 starts for the Under 19s last season, as they reached the Academy Grand Final.
