Bradford have confirmed that winger Sean Ainscough will miss a further six weeks after having an operation on his ankle.

Ainscough injured his ankle during the game against Warrington on May 1st and has been in a period of rehabilitation. However the treatment has not been working and operation was required to correct the damage.

Commenting on the operation, Bradford Football Manager Stuart Duffy said:

“Shaun saw a Specialist in early May and his advice was to manage it conservatively through Rehab. Unfortunately the injury did not respond sufficiently and Shaun has now had to have an operation to stabilise his ankle.

“It’s a blow for Shaun but he is happy that it has now been addressed and he is looking forward to getting back to full fitness.”
