Adrian Lam: Wigan won’t take London for granted

Wigan Head Coach Adrian Lam says that his side will not underestimate the threat posed by London when the two sides meet at the DW Stadium this evening.

After a dreadful start to 2019, the Warriors have won their last two games and sit eighth in the Betfred Super League table.

The Broncos can go within two points of their opponents with a win this evening and could even climb off the foot of the table on points difference.

Danny Ward’s side have already beaten Wigan once this year, picking up a narrow 18-16 victory at Trailfinders Sports Ground at the beginning of March.

Ahead of tonight’s televised clash, Lam insists that his side are not prepared to allow complacency to set in as they attempt to extend their winning run.

“We’ve brought it up on more than one occasion, but we will not take them lightly,” he said.

“Our focus is to try and get our game right; I thought our defence was awesome and our attack has been good in patches. We’ve got to aim for a more complete performance.

“We need to get on a roll at some stage of the season. I think the team just needs a little injection of confidence. There’s a lot of belief there so there are some good signs ahead.

“We have worked really hard and have been in a tough place. We seem to have handled ourselves a little bit better over the last couple of weeks, so we’re looking forward to getting a few more players back and hopefully getting a victory.”
