Adrian Lam supportive of Super League table decision

Wigan coach Adrian Lam says the Super League table will be hard to gauge with the new points percentage method, but is supportive of the RFL’s decision.

Catalans were elevated to the top of the table after it was announced that final positions in the regular season in 2020 will be determined by points percentage rather than the number of points gained.

Lam said: “It’s hard to be a supporter and a coach to look at the table every week because it is going to change in all sorts of different ways.

“There is a Toronto weekend where teams don’t get points for that weekend but let’s just hope that they can find a spot to play the matches that these teams have missed out on. By doing that, it would make it a fairer competition.

“Its what the RFL have decided at the moment, I don’t really know whether it is right or wrong but we are just supporting what the decision is there and it is going to be hard to see who is on top until everyone has played matches and it will go right down until the last week of the competition I presume.”
