Hull KR have been dealt a blow with the news that utility Danny Addy is set to miss the whole of the 2018 season through injury.

Addy, 26, suffered a complex knee injury during the first half of Sunday’s friendly victory against Hull FC and will see a specialist this week to discuss the best options for surgery and recovery.

A club statement said: “It (is) thought at this stage that the versatile forward is likely to miss the full 2018 season.

“Danny will still remain fully involved at the club whilst completing his rehabilitation and everybody connected to Hull Kingston Rovers wishes him all the best for a full and speedy recovery.”

The former Bradford man was recently named Scotland Player of the Year following his performances at the World Cup in Australia.
