Bulls civic reception
Bradford Bulls enjoyed a civic reception with the Loyd Mayor of Bradford Council on Thursday, held to celebrate their promotion to the Championship. Lord Mayor of Bradford, Cllr Zafar Ali, said: “We were delighted to welcome the players and coaching staff to City Hall to celebrate their superb achievement last season. We’re all now looking forward to their season ahead in the Championship.”

Adam Maher fundraising effort
Hull FC have been working closely with former players Craig Greenhill and Adam Maher on a special fundraising effort, after the latter was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease. Maher joined the Black & Whites in 2000 from Gateshead, and went on to make 100 appearances for the club during the transition from the Boulevard to the KCOM Stadium between the turn of the millennium and 2003. The event will take place at Lazzatt’s, Cottingham on Sunday 3rd February 2019, 1pm start, with all proceeds of the dinner going to Adam and his family directly to assist them during this difficult period. Bookings can be made by emailing adammaherdinner@hotmail.com

Leeds Big Sleep
A sleepover was held at Emerald Headingley for the Leeds Big Sleep to raise money for vulnerable people in association with Leeds Rhinos Foundation, St Gemma’s Hospice and St George’s Crypt. More than £23,000 has been raised so far, and you can donate here.

Co-operation in Rochdale
The Rochdale Hornets Sporting Foundation would like to put on record their gratitude to the Co-Op, who recently presented them with a donation of nearly £4,000. They have worked closely with the Co-Op and been the beneficiary of their financial support for many years, and are proud to see two of Rochdale’s finest creations still helping each other. Thanks go as well to members of the Co-Op who contributed to this huge sum, which will go a long way to keeping up their good work with the people of Rochdale.
