Leigh have announced that prop Adam Walker has left the club with immediate effect.

The 29-year-old joined the Centurions in August on a deal until the end of 2021 but he has now parted ways with the club.

Walker played for Salford in last year’s Super League Grand Final and has earned 10 caps for Scotland on the international stage.

A club statement read: “Leigh Centurions can confirm that Adam Walker has terminated his contract with the club with immediate effect which the club have accepted.

“The club will seek to replace Adam’s position in the squad as soon as possible.”

Walker has made almost 200 career appearances for Huddersfield, Barrow, Swinton, Hull KR, St Helens, Wakefield and Salford.
