Leigh prop Adam Sidlow has signed a one-year contract extension.

The 33-year-old joined the Centurions ahead of this season from Toronto Wolfpack. He has made more than 300 career appearances for Widnes, Workington, Salford, Bradford, Toronto and Leigh.

Leigh caretaker coach Kurt Haggerty said: “It’s great to have Adam onboard for 2022.

“He’s an experienced front-rower who has leadership qualities and still has the desire to be successful. He has shown in games this season he still has the quality to compete at the highest level.”

Sidlow said: “I am delighted to be offered a new contract and even though we have struggled this season results wise, I have enjoyed my time at the club.”

“I have had a good career and still feel I can offer plenty to Leigh Centurions and for the loyal fans. 2021 has been tough for all players with Covid but we are well looked after at the club and work within our bubble and we prepare well for games.”
