Adam Hills: Take His Legs documentary receives huge praise

A documentary about Physical Disability Rugby League has left people with a tear in their eyes.

Adam Hills: Take His Legs aired on Channel 4 on Friday night, with the documentary receiving a lot of praise on social media.

Take His Legs is the story of the birth of PDRL in the UK and the rise of Warrington’s PDRL team, with the Wolves going from open trials to being crowned world champions in just six months.

Comedian Pete Emmett said: “This is the best thing I’ve seen on TV for a long time.

“Huge respect for those playing PDRL. Bit of a tear in my eye watching it.”

Rugby Football League president, Tony Adams, tweeted: “Season’s greetings and if you want to have a good laugh and cry, watch the inspirational Channel 4 documentary from Adam Hills.”

Hills added: “Thank you so much for the amazing messages about Take His Legs.

“I’m so proud of what we filmed and what we achieved. My team-mates are true champions.”
