Two players will appear before the RFL Disciplinary Committee on Tuesday to answer charges brought following incidents in their teams’ Super League fixtures last weekend.

Leeds Rhinos second-row Carl Ablett has been charged with a Grade C offence for use of the forearm on Wigan’s Sam Tomkins in the 15th minute of Friday’s 26-12 defeat by Wigan Warriors.

Salford City Reds stand-off Jeremy Smith has been charged with a Grade B offence for using foul and abusive language towards a match official in the 71st minute of Sunday’s 60-16 defeat to Crusaders RL.

Both players were charged after the incidents were viewed by the RFL Match Review Panel earlier today.

Leeds Rhinos prop Ryan Bailey received a caution for a raised knee in possession of the ball in the 24th minute of Fridays game.

Ray Cashmere of Salford was also cautioned for kicking out in a tackle in the first minute of the match against Crusaders RL.

The caution will remain on the players disciplinary records for consideration in the event of future incidents.
