Super League have confirmed that that tickets for the 2016 World Club Series will go on sale this week.

Super League teams Leeds Rhinos, Wigan Warriors and St Helens face the top three NRL teams, in the shape of the North Queensland Cowboys, Brisbane Broncos and Sydney Roosters in February.

St Helens and the Roosters kick off the series at Langtree Park on Friday, February 19 at 8pm. Tickets for that clash are already on sale.

Tickets for the second game in the series, between Wigan Warriors and Brisbane Broncos, which takes place at the DW Stadium on Saturday February 20 at 8pm, go on sale on Wednesday November 11.

The concluding match between Super League champions Leeds Rhinos and NRL champions Noth Queensland Cowboys, will take place on Sunday, February 21, kick off at 8pm.

“We expect demand for tickets to be extremely strong following the success of the 2015 Series,” said Super League general manager Blake Solly.

“Now that we have ensured the top Super League teams will face the top NRL teams in 2016, it is a weekend that no sports fan will want to miss.”

Leeds pivot Rob Burrow, who has appeared in all six of the Rhinos previous World Club Challenges since 2005, is delighted to have the chance to play against the NRL‘s best players.

“It will be special to be back at Headingley Carnegie and taking on North Queensland,” he said.

“They had a tremendous season last year and made their own history by winning the NRL Grand Final for the first time so it sets things up nicely with us having achieved something special in 2015 as well.

“In Jonathan Thurston they have one of the stars of our game and I am sure many young fans will be keen to see him in action as well as cheering the Rhinos on.”
