Leigh v Featherstone | Saturday | 12:00pm | BBC Sport, Premier Sports

Ben Nakubuwai returns to the Leigh squad following his 11-day concussion protocol. He missed the club’s win over Workington in the Championship.

The Centurions will have plenty of experience in their squad including Krisnan Inu, Joe Wardle and Joe Mellor.

For Brian McDermott’s Featherstone, Johnathon Ford looks set to make his second appearance for the club. He made his debut from the bench last Saturday in their 78-0 win over Whitehaven.

Rovers are without starting hooker Connor Jones due to suspension. He missed last year’s 1895 Cup victory over York due to Covid.

Kevin Brown previews 1895 Cup final

Championship pacesetters Featherstone and Leigh boast a wealth of stars that would light up Super League and look set to produce a thrilling 1895 Cup final.

That’s the view of the former England half-back Kevin Brown, now a lead pundit in Premier Sports’ coverage of the Championship this season.

“I think the 1895 Cup final could be better than the Challenge Cup final,” Brown predicts on this week’s Love Rugby League Podcast, a weekly look at life and league with a star guest, available via AppleAmazon and all the main podcast platforms.

“Since round two they’ve both completely changed their sides. I don’t know who wins.”
