Current County Champions Yorkshire won the opening game of this years Championship with a gripping 12-10 away win aginst Lancashire. The red rose came from 10-0 down to level the scores up before a Craig Holmes penalty two minutes from time gave the white rose the spoils. [Read more…]

Before last Saturday’s second Gillette Tri-Nations game between Australia and New Zealand it seemed blindingly obvious that the Kangaroos were going to win it. After seventy minutes of football it was clear as anything that it was the Kiwis’ day. So, despite all the pre-match certainty, when Australia finally edged the game it was a massive shock – that’s rugby league at its best.
