Profile:
Fox is a product of the Leeds Academy but signed on with York City Knights in 2006 at the age of 22. He was named in the National League 1 Team of the Year for the 2006 season.
Fox then went on to sign for Wakefield Trinity Wildcats in 2007, his first Super League club. The winger made his debut for the Wildcats in the opening game of the 2007 season which saw Wakefield defeated by Hull KR 14-9. He scored his first try for the club in the fifth round of the campaign in a 40-20 win over Catalan Dragons and went on to score 11 tries in 23 appearances. 95/52
After just one season at Wakefield, Fox signed a deal which saw him move to Hull Kingston Rovers. He scored against Catalan Dragons once again, bagging two tries for KR in the second round of the competition in a 20-24 victory.
Across four seasons at Hull KR Fox scored 55 tries in 104 games, including his first ever hat trick against Salford city Reds at Craven Park during the 2009 season. This record made Fo the leading try scorer for three successive years at the Rovers.
The winger received his first International call up in 2008 for Tony Smith’s England squad replacing the injured Gareth Raynor in the side. Fox went on to make a further six appearances for the National side and scored six tries.
During the 2009 Four Nations competition, Fox scored two tries in England’s shock 20-12 win over New Zealand, sealing their place in the final of the competition against Australia. He scored again in the final but Australia overpowered England, winning 46-16.
In July 2011, Fox was dropped from the England Elite Training Squad and struggled to get consistent appearances during the season for Rovers. On July 27th it was announced that Hull KR had given him permission to leave the club, despite having another year left on his contract.
Then on August 10th it was announced that Fox would return to Wakefield Trinity Wildcats on a three year deal from 2012. On 17th December Wakefield announced their squad numbers for 2012 season, with Fox being granted the number two shirt.
