Profile:
Broughton began playing Rugby League for local sides Milford and Queens. He won a number of competitions including Leeds and District Cup, Yorkshire Cup, National Cup and West Riding Cup. He then signed for Leeds Rhino’s Academy in 2006. In 2008, Broughton was brought into Hull on a month’s loan, and made his Super League debut two days later in a defeat to Bradford. A week later he scored his first try in a loss to Warrington. He then joined Hull again, for a second stint in 2009. In 2010, Broughton joined Salford, during his time at the club his career has flourished, as he was drafted into the England training squad. In February 2011, he won the ‘Super League’s fastest man competition’.
