Super League round-up: Sneyd snatches win, Salford stun Wakefield, Lomax hat-trick hero

There were a couple of intense battles in round 12 of the Betfred Super League.

Marc Sneyd once again held his nerve to add a late drop-goal to snatch a 19-18 win for Hull FC over Leeds Rhinos at the KCOM Stadium on Thursday night.

Two tries from Oliver Gildart helped Wigan Warriors pull off a convincing 28-12 win against Castleford Tigers at the DW Stadium on Friday.

A hat-trick from England star Jonny Lomax guided St Helens to return to winning ways with a remarkable 66-4 victory over injury-riddled Huddersfield Giants at the Totally Wicked Stadium on Friday.

Wakefield Trinity failed to back up last weekend’s impressive win over table toppers St Helens after losing 38-4 to Salford Red Devils at the AJ Bell Stadium on Friday. Jake Bibby scored twice for Salford to take his tally to four tries in his last two games.
