All six games were very close in Super League’s State of Mind round.

Greg Burke scored a game-breaker try to help Salford Red Devils beat his parent club Widnes Vikings 26-12 win at the AJ Bell Stadium on Thursday.

A late drop-goal from Danny Richardson was the only thing to separate St Helens and Leeds in an end-to-end thriller at Emerald Headingley on Friday night. The one-pointer condemned Leeds to a fifth successive league defeat.

Huddersfield Giants made it five Super League wins in succession with a pulsating 26-25 victory over Catalans Dragons. Young half-back Olly Russell kicked a late penalty goal to seal the two points for the Giants.

Wigan Warriors moved to within six points of Super League leaders St Helens after beating Hull FC 14-10 at the KCOM Stadium. The Warriors ended their three-game losing streak, while Liam Marshall got his 11th try of the season.

Warrington Wolves held off a second-half fightback by Wakefield Trinity to claim a 32-30 win that strengthened their top four hopes. The Wolves only scored four tries compared to Trinity’s five though.

Hull Kingston Rovers came from 14-0 down to snatch a point thanks to a dramatic 24-24 draw with Castleford Tigers at the Mend-A-Hose Jungle. Jy Hitchcox scored four tries for the Tigers, while USA star Junior Vaivai grabbed a brace for Rovers. Joel Tomkins also made his KR debut.
