Poms In OZ: James Graham's Bulldogs win nine games straight

James Graham’s Canterbury Bulldogs recorded their ninth consecutive victory against North Queensland Cowboys in a 32-18 win at ANZ Stadium.

Graham was a starting prop for the Bulldogs for the first time this season, after 18 consecutive bench starts.

He was replacing the injured Sam Kasiano, but contributed to the Bulldogs’ win setting up Ben Barba for his second of three tries in the match.

Barba was the star of the show, and is the NRL’s leading try scorer who is certain to win the Dally M medal at the end of the season.

Kristan Inu and Sam Perrett all scored tries, while Inu kicked a penalty goal for an unblemished 100 per cent goal kicking record.

South Sydney Rabbitohs sealed a fantastic 32-6 win over Wests Tigers.

Sam and Luke Burgess from the Bunnies went up against Chris Heighington from the Tigers in a one sided game that saw hooker Nathan Peats score two tries.

Benji Marshall crossed for the Tigers, but the momentum went all of Souths’ way as they climbed to second in the NRL ladder.

Nathan Meritt, Dylan Farrell and Jason Clark all scored for the Rabbitohs, while Adam Reynolds kicked a perfect six goals from six attempts.

Gareth Widdop’s Melbourne Storm fell to their fifth straight defeat at the hands of St George Illawarra 26-18.

The Storm’s fall from grace has seen them go from being four points clear at the top of the NRL, to third and four points from leaders Canterbury.

Widdop was rested for the match at WIN Stadium as Billy Slater took up the fullback position returning from injury.

Brisbane Broncos, still missing the injured Jack Reed, lost 42-22 to bottom placed Parramatta.
