Kieran Dixon delighted with England Knights call up
London Broncos’ Kieran Dixon is delighted after being called up to the England Knights squad.
Dixon has been surprised at the progress he has made within the Broncos squad this season, and wants to enjoy the experience of training with the Knights.
He said: “I thought I'd play maybe five games for the Broncos but I've been privileged enough to play most of the games this season and I'm proud that it's come off the back of good performances.
“Kieron Purtill (England Knights head coach) gave me the call to say I was in the preliminary squad and if I'm selected to play it would be a fantastic achievement.”
The former Hemel Stag says he has a long way to go before he feels like an established member of the Broncos squad, and believes the experience of being a part of the Knights will help him become a better player.
“I don't feel like an established Super League player just yet. I've got a long way to go and I know I've got to keep on working hard and putting in good performances. Hopefully we can finish this season on a high and kick on and do better next year.”
